Contact Rockome.com
Corrections, memories and photographs are always welcome.
The easiest way to reach us is by email at [email protected]. We read every message, but we are a small team, so please allow a week or two for a reply.
What we can help with
- Corrections to a page, for example a misspelled name or a wrong date in the history of the park.
- Photographs, programs, tickets and printed material from past seasons. If you have something you would like to share, tell us what it is and roughly when it was made before sending large files.
- Questions about the articles in the journal, including requests to quote or cite them.
- Reports of broken links or display problems on phones and tablets.
What we cannot do
This is a historical and travel resource, not an operating attraction. We cannot take reservations, sell tickets, arrange group tours or answer questions about current opening hours. Information about admission prices, calendars and menus on this site describes past seasons and should be treated as history.
For current travel information in the area, the tourism offices for Arcola and Arthur, Illinois, and the chambers of commerce in Douglas and Moultrie counties are the right places to ask.
Sharing photographs and memories
If you visited Rockome Gardens, worked there or grew up nearby, your memories are part of the story. A short note about the season you visited, the event you remember or the person who showed you around helps us check the details on these pages. Please do not send anything you do not have the right to share, and let us know if a photograph shows people who should not be named.
Where we are
The original Rockome Gardens stood about five miles west of Arcola in Douglas County, Illinois, in the countryside between Arcola and Arthur. You can read the old driving directions for the historical route from Chicago, St. Louis, Indianapolis and other cities.
