Outdoor Fun: Kayaking, Fishing and Horseback Riding

Kayaking on the river, fishing in the pond, horseback riding and cowboy camps at Rockome Gardens.

The New Rockome

Rockome Outdoor

Rockome is known for its beautiful gardens and rock formations. Because our visitors have enjoyed the beauty of the park for so long, we want to expand their outdoor experience even further.

This year, we have prepared the pond for fishing and picnicking. At our outdoor store, we will sell all of the needed equipment for a day on the water, from picnic baskets to sunscreen. Just rent some fishing’ poles, grab a basket and some snacks, and take the family outside for a perfect summer activity.

Fishing

There's nothing more relaxing than dropping a line inour pond or the Kaskaskia River to try your luck with some pretty big fish. If you don't have your own fishing gear, you can rent what you need at the Rockome Outdoor Store. We can even supply you with a fishing license if you need that too.

Why not bring the entire family for a picnic. Just call ahead and we will have a picnic basket prepared for you.
